Artist and teacher, fashion and textiles.

Louise completed her Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design at Perth Central TAFE in 2003 having won two national awards in her final year of study. The National Gown of the Year awards in Melbourne and Student Designer of the Year for the Design Industry Association. Since graduating, Louise runs her own small business as a teacher of textile techniques, textile designer and community artist. Specialising in dyeing, felt making and screen printing methods Louise works with in schools and community groups as Artist in Residence to inspire students about textiles. Originally from a social work background Louise has restudied at Curtin University graduating with a BA in Visual Arts and is currently completing her Honours program. Louise has worked closely with some of Western Australia's finest fashion designers and exhibited her work in several group shows. As the President of the Western Australian Fibre and Textile Association (WAFTA), Louise curated a major exhibition of 80 WAFTA members work at the Moores Gallery in Fremantle in 2009.
